Long, long ago, the ancient city of Madinah glowed like a warm lantern in the desert. If you walked down its bustling streets, your nose would tingle with the sweet scent of baking bread and sticky, sun-ripened dates. You would hear the cheerful clip-clop of donkey hooves, the laughter of children chasing silver-winged pigeons, and five times a day, the beautiful, drifting voice of the adhan calling everyone to prayer.
